Call for Papers: SAGE Open Special Collection – Adolescence, Sexuality and Reproductive Health in Sub-Saharan Africa
The objective of this special collection is to bring together contemporary research, thinking and critical scholarship about adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), both empirical and theoretical, in sub-saharan Africa (SSA). The special issue aims to draw together the work of academics and policy makers to make available current thinking, evidence, responses and debates relating to AGYW sexual and reproductive health needs in SSA. It is expected that this interdisciplinary and cross-cutting special issue will provide an avenue for experts at universities, international organisations, civil society groups and intergovernmental organisations to offer important insights on the subject matter.
Among other things, this special issue will stimulate further debate on the issues affecting AGYW such as risk reduction, rights, responses to adolescent pregnancy, access to youth-friendly services, gender-based and sexual violence and exploitation, and the broader implications for reproductive health outcomes.
The submission deadline is 31 December 2017. View more details here.
